Monoprint Workshop at the Crocker Art Museum

Teaching a monotype workshop at the Crocker Art Museum!
Monotype is a type of printmaking made by drawing or painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface. In this workshop we will be using acrylic plates. The image is then transferred onto a sheet of paper by running it through a press. Monotypes can also be created by inking an entire surface and then, using brushes or rags, removing ink to create a subtractive image. We will be using Caligo Safe Wash oil-based relief inks. No previous printmaking experience is necessary as this is a beginner class.
Relief Printing

Teaching relief printing at the Crocker Art Museum. In this class you will learn the basics of relief print, carve your own plate, and print your relief print. You can then take your plate home with you to print again and again. We will use Caligo Safe Wash relief ink. This is a beginner class. No previous experience necessary.
